School Rules & Regulation

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. In order to acquire fluency in English all the students must speak in English in the school premises.

  2. Students are expected to be present for the daily assembly.

  3. It is compulsory for every students to come to school in full uniform including footwear.

  4. Students are forbidden to wear or bring valuable articles ie... Gold, Silver, Smart watch, Cell Phones, Storybooks. newspapers or periodicals without the consent of the school authorities.

  5. Students are forbidden to play, shout or run about in the classrooms and verandas. They must never sit on the teacher's chair or on the desks.

  6. Students must help to keep the school premises clean and tidy. It is strictly forbidden to write or scratch on the school walls, furniture and blackboards. Waste papers, peels and seeds of fruits must be thrown in the waste bins provided. Students who damage school property must replace the damage.

  7.  No gifts or donations to the teachers are allowed.

  8. Parents/Visitors are strictly forbidden to enter the school premises except on occassions specified by the school authorities.

  9. No students is allowed to leave the school premises during the school hours without the permission of the principal.

  10. No collection for any purpose whatever is to be made without the approval of the principal.

  11. Parents are requested to take careful note of the communication of teachers in the pages of the school calendar.

  12. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of work, cheating, disobedience or disrespect towards teaching and non teaching staff, or bad moral influence upon other children-all justify dismissal from the school.

  13. Courtesy, refined manners, good behaviour are all to be maintained by the efforts of parents and teachers in harmony. A spirit of loyalty and gratitude should be cultivated at home a spirit of generous involvement and dedication to the ideals of the school should be the aim of the parents and students.

  14. Students are expected to participate in all the activities of the school.

  15. The permission of the principal is required for any student activities Such as parties, picnics, excursions, class-organizations etc.

  16. Forging parent's signature or altering marks and grades will be viewed seriously.

SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS (students)

A. Dress and Appearance:

  1. Students must come to school in the correct school uniform. Uniform must be neatly cleaned and ironed.

  2. Personal cleanliness, hygiene and neatness is expected at all times. Hair must be neatly cut/pinned/plaited and combed. Nails must be kept clean and short. Boys must maintain their hair, short and neat. Fancy hair styles and coloured hair are not allowed.

  3. Failure to comply with may result in the student being sent home after two warnings recorded in the hand book.

  4. Students are not permitted to wear fancy items or jewels, belts etc. Students are not allowed to wear watches.

  5. Students are not allowed to colour/spike/gel their hair, wear nail polish, tattoo or any henna design, if found student will be punished

B. School Hand Book:

  1. Every student must possess a copy of the school hand book and it should be brought to the school daily and presented to the teacher as and when required.

  2. Students must maintain the school diary neatly. No fancy stickers may be stuck or pictures/designs drawn in the school diary.

  3. No student/parent may tamper with the remarks given in the calendar. All remarks must be promptly signed by the parent.

  4. In case the student loses the diary, it must be promptly re-placed with a new one which can be purchased at the school office.

C. School Property:

  1. Care must be taken to keep the school, classrooms & surroundings clean at all times. Litter must be disposed off in the dustbins provided.

  2. Students must take care of the school property. No scratches, writings or drawings may be made on the school furniture or walls.

  3. Damage done by accident must be reported to the class teacher. Students who willfully damage school property must make good the damage done.

D. Behaviour:

  1. Students must respect and obey their teachers and school authorities at all times.Running, playing and shouting in the classrooms and corridors during study hours is forbidden. Students must not indulge in fights and physical and verbal abuse in school. Stringent action will be taken against all students instigating and/or participating in such acts.

  2. Chewing chicklets and gum in the school premises is strictly forbidden.

  3. Students may not loiter in the classrooms during break or com-puter, Games and Activity periods.

  4. Students may not go to the toilets or to drink water during class time, such needs must be attended to during the break. However, if any student has a medical problem, the same must be brought to the notice of the class teacher in writing with medical certificate attached

  5. Students are not permitted to bring story books (other than school library books), magazines, picture books, video games, tabs, audio- video cassettes/DVD's/CD's, fancy items, Walkman or IPods to the school. Any such property found in the possession of the student will be confiscated by the school.

  6. All school leaders must be given due respect.

  7. Students must record and follow the specific instructions given by their teachers.

  8. Students are not permitted to bring /use mobile phones. This rule is applicable for class, practices, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc. Mobiles found in the possession of any student will be confis-cated.

E. Maintenance of Study Materials:

  1. All school books must be labeled and neatly maintained through-out the year.

  2. Books must be brought according to the day's timetable without fail.

  3. Students are not permitted to use 'white outs/correction pen in their note books/exam papers.

  4. Primary students are not allowed to bring metal Rulers, Metal scissors or Compass and Divider Sets to school unless specifically called for by the teacher for Art/Craft/Activity/Maths class

F. Attendance and Leave of Absence:

  1. All students must be present on the first day and the last day of each term.

  2. In all case of absence from school, the parent is expected to make a note in the specified section of the school calendar.

  3. Absence for 3 to 5 days on medical grounds must be accompanied by a medical certificate and should be sanctioned by the Principal. For any other absence of more than 5 days the written sanction of the Principal is required. Students who are absent on the reopening days after a Term/holidays without prior permission from the Principal will not be permitted into the class.

  4. No students may leave the school premises during class time without the permission of the Principal. Students will be permited to leave the class during school hours only when the parent report in person at the school reception and secure the necessary permission.

  5. Students will not be sent with drivers/friends/relatives without the written request of the parent.

  6. Students who have been absent for more than 15 days without permission are liable to have their names struck off the rolls and have to seek re-admission.

  7. It is compulsory for the students to complete 80% of attendance in the academic year to make them eligible to sit for their final exams. The percentage however, could be relaxed on medical grounds, but such students will not be eligible for any academic rewards
